On June 20, 2019, Nancy L. Kesler passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family. Those that knew Nancy would say she was a strong, kind woman, beautiful both inside and out, who cared about her family, friends and community deeply.
Nancy was born on November 10th, 1936 to Bill and Lorena Long. She spent her childhood in Speedway, Indiana, before marrying the love of her life, Glen Kesler. Nancy and Glen had a wonderful life together, building a family with their three children, travelling the world, and enjoying their time with each other every step of the way.
Nancy lived her greatest life, relishing the various jobs she had through her younger years, and making the absolute best of her retirement doing all the things she loved. A social being at heart, Nancy cherished the friendships she made through the years, and touched so many people along her journey of life. Glen and Nancy were fortunate to call the St Petersburg/Fort Myers areas of Florida their home away from home for much of their married life, and there she also cultivated friendships that lasted until the end of her days. Whether in Florida or Indiana, she enjoyed a variety of hobbies and being outdoors, but her love of golf was unsurpassed. Nancy both participated in and served as leadership for golf leagues at a number of local courses over the years, including Mohawk Hills, Pebble Brook, and Brookshire to name a few. In addition to her hobbies, Nancy also actively participated in volunteering throughout the community, most recently at Grand Park and St. Vincent’s Carmel Hospital. She was strong in her faith, too, a member of the College Park Church.
Of all her passions in life, nothing compared to the love and passion she had for her family. She is survived by her three children [Destie Ahern, Debbie Kesler, Ben (Sheri) Kesler], 4 grandchildren [Ashley Ahern-Blanton (Mark), Wesley Ahern, Shelbi Kesler, Sidney Kesler], 4 great grandchildren [Jackson, Kathryn, Noah, Skyler], and brother [Larry (Dottie) Long]. She joins her loving husband, parents, as well as her brother, Jerry Long.

Nancy was a joy to be around! She spoke words of blessing, never words that tore down. I will miss her smile & the presence of a genuinely positive woman.

I only knew Nancy a short while, having moved back to Indianapolis approx. 2 years ago, however she was a fun loving person on the golf course and I will miss her mischievous smile. She was an inspiration to all of her bridge friends at Pebblebrook!
